RCD testing

A correct RCD test with the right equipment is a fantastic way to ensure that the safety switch is performing within the required current and with in the acceptable timeframe. Residual Current Devices (RCD) or safety switch is a safety device installed into switchboards to protect against electric shock. These as with most things with age can deteriorate and not perform at an optimum level. At ElecCom we can check all RCDs are working within the required parameters to ensure they will function correctly when you need them the most.

A push button test is a great start to see if they working but only specific testing equipment can show you that the safety switch will turn off in the required time and within the nominated current.
